 TOPIC:&nbsp\;The Toxicology of Stormwater P
 ollutants
 Stormwater pollutants have the potential to cause adverse effe
 cts to aquatic life and ecosystems and potentially affect human health as 
 well.&nbsp\; Reducing pollutant loading to reduce the risk of adverse effe
 cts is the reason why stormwater is regulated under the NPDES program.&nbs
 p\; This seminar will introduce basic concepts of toxicology that underlie
  our understanding of how stormwater pollutants cause adverse effects and 
 will focus on the harm potentially caused by substances typically found in
  stormwater discharges.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;The presentation will also include i
 nformation about how the toxicology of stormwater pollutants translates in
 to state water quality criteria and the benchmarks for stormwater monitori
 ng results.

 ions on critical stormwater inspection issues. Called&nbsp\;CSI Network&nb
 sp\;these discussions are delivered via interactive webinars\, and the top
 ics apply to municipal\, construction and industrial regulations\, permits
 \, and inspections.
 
 These discussion meetings are free to current Cer
 tified Stormwater Inspectors (CSI)™ while non-current CSI graduates\, an
 d the general public\, can join sessions for a $25 registration fee..

  1:00 PM EDT.&nbsp\; Each session is schedule for no more than 90 minutes.
