CERTIFIED EMPLOYEE TRAINING
From the 2015 EPA Multi-Sector General Permit:
126.96.36.199 Employee Training.
You must train all employees who work in areas where industrial materials or activities are exposed to stormwater, or who are responsible forimplementing activities necessary to meet the conditions of this permit (e.g.,inspectors, maintenance personnel), including all members of your stormwaterpollution prevention team. You must ensure the following personnel understand the requirements of this permit and their specific responsibilities with respect to those requirements:Personnel who are responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and/or repair of controls (including pollution prevention measures);Personnel responsible for the storage and handling of chemicals and materials that could become contaminants in stormwater discharges;Personnel who are responsible for conducting and documenting monitoring and inspections, and
Personnel who are responsible for taking and documenting corrective actions
National Stormwater Center is now offering on deman video learning for industrial employees! All sessions are one hour in length at a cost of only $25.00 per employee per sector purchased. After completing a sector video, the student will receive a certificate of training that can be used as documentation in your SWPPP to meet the training requirement.
NOTE: The transportation Sectors are the first on demand videos to be published. We will be adding one video per sector until all 29 have been completed. Transportation sectors are: Sector P - Land Transportation, Sector Q - Water Transportation, Sector R - Ship and Boat Building and Repair, Sector S - Air Transporation.
