Degree: BS Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Environmental Science or related technical degree
Years of Experience: 5+
Industry: Engineering Consultant for various industries including power, mining, refining and general manufacturing
Location: Michigan (preference for Grand Rapids or Ann Arbor areas)

Must have at least (5) years of environmental science/engineering as a focused expert on complex NPDES permitting strategies with a strong understanding of Michigan environmental regulatory requirements. This position is a key role within the Water Resources Division of this engineering firm. Project leadership role will require both office and field work within Michigan (short travel trips throughout Michigan).
Client will consider candidates from other engineering/consulting firms or general manufacturing if the candidate has had focused working knowledge of individual water permits (not general industry water permits). Preferred technical experience in areas of anti-degradation, TMDLs, GLI standards, toxicity reduction evaluations and development of effluent limit strategies. Permitting support to projects related to emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
Must have the ability to build relationships with regulatory agencies and industrial customers throughout the state of Michigan and have an active role in industry groups related to water.
