CSI-Water Quality + TMDL's (EDT)

Do you have impaired water bodies in your municipal jurisdiction? Having difficulty identifying and reducing the sources of pollution?  Get the certification you need to help you meet interim and term goals on your NPDES MS4 Stormwater Permit or Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for impaired water bodies listed (303 (d)) under (40 C.F.R. §130.7(b) (5)).  The National Stormwater Center can help you identify specific strategies to delist impaired water bodies through the following source identification, planning and maintenance strategies:

  • Target Prioritization
  • Set WLA & LA (Based on Samples)
  • Set Margin Of Safety (MOS)
  • Seasonal Variability
  • Implementation Plan
  • Reasonable Assurance

Permits require "Qualified Personnel" conduct inspections and be part of the Stormwater Team, the National Stormwater Center certifies graduates.  This certification indicates that the services our graduates conduct are being performed by professionals who have met the established standards of knowledge, experience, and competence required in the field of water quality and TMDL's to meet the requirements of your NPDES MS4 Stormwater Permit.

During these times, our training classes are being conducted via instructor-led, interactive webinar technology. The National Stormwater Center cares about the health and safety of our customers and our staff, and will continue to practice physical distancing measures until such time that in-person classes can safely be resumed. 

Designed specifically for MS4 personnel this online course focuses on water quality and TMDL's to achieve stormwater permit compliance, the key to restoring and maintaining the waters of the United States. This four hour course is from 12 pm to 4 pm EDT with break time.  Testing will be conducted; students are required to achieve a minimum overall score of 75% to be awarded .4 CEUs (Continuing Education Units), and a five (5) year Water Quality Certification from the National Stormwater Center.

Registration fee is non-refundable. Course fee may be applied to another scheduled class, transferred to another registrant, or it will be refunded if cancellation received a minimum of 14 days prior to class start date.  Registered students will receive a detailed email prior to the start date. This email will include a webinar link to the class, daily start and end times, and additional information.

Cancellations: Class fees are refunded if received 14 days prior to start date, registration fees are non-refundable.  Substitutions are allowed with notification to our business office.  Cancellation or reschedule requests made less than 14 days of the class start date may not receive a refund nor a transfer.  You agree to these terms when registering for the training.
